Darvin honored at Crisis Center for South Suburbia Gala

On Saturday, February 22, Darvin Furniture & Mattress President Will Harris was honored as the Corporate Partner of the Year by the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, which has been providing housing, counseling, advocacy, outreach and prevention programs to victims of domestic violence for over 45 years. With a capacity crowd in the Grand Ballroom at Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park, the Center hosted its annual fundraiser, the Sweet Home Chicago Gala. Harris and Darvin Furniture & Mattress were recognized for their corporate partnership. Darvin's amped-up efforts to support the Crisis Center's commitment to increasing community outreach was so successful, the reach was 175% over last year's efforts. That increased community reach educated 21,233 local students on teen dating violence and what healthy relationships look like, and 24,900 persons learned about domestic violence and how to connect to the Center's life-saving services.
