Crisis Center honors Darvin's Will Harris at annual Sweet Home Chicago Gala
Orland Park, Ill., March 10, 2025 — On Saturday, February 22, Darvin Furniture & Mattress President Will Harris was honored as the Corporate Partner of the Year by the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, which has been providing housing, counseling, advocacy, outreach and prevention programs to victims of domestic violence for over 45 years.
With a capacity crowd in the Grand Ballroom at Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park, the Crisis Center for South Suburbia hosted its annual fundraiser, the Sweet Home Chicago Gala. Harris and Darvin Furniture & Mattress were recognized for their corporate partnership, while the Cosich Family was honored with the Spirit of Charity Award, and Jennifer and Jeff Kanacki were presented the Dianne Masters Award.
Harris said he was deeply honored to be among such esteemed company recognized throughout the event. He was also proud of Darvin's 2024 campaign, Not One More Life Lost, which played a vital role in raising awareness about domestic violence and highlighting the impactful work of the Crisis Center of South Suburbia.

"It is humbling to be recognized for having played even a small part in supporting the Crisis Center of South Suburbia, and the life-saving work they do every day for families who have nowhere else to turn."

• Increased its reach by 175% over 2023
• Educated 21,233 local students on teen dating violence and what healthy relationships look like
• Informed 24,900 persons about domestic violence and how to connect to the Crisis Center's life-saving services through outreach and community presentations
• Helped the Center's Volunteer Community Ambassadors with the expansion of the hotline, including text chat features for survivors
