Darvin Furniture 97th Anniversary Giveaway Awards 117 Winners With More Than $200,000 in Prizes

Orland Park, IL, Dec. 14, 2017 - While Linda Borkowski of Burr Ridge was shopping for bedroom sets in October at Darvin Furniture, she says she saw the entry forms for the 97th Anniversary Furniture Giveaway and thought to herself, ‘why not fill one out?’ Her decision paid off big when she won a Vaughan Bassett Gentlemen’s Chest worth $1,349.

Darvin Furniture,Chicagoland's largest furniture and mattress store, hosted its annual Anniversary Giveaway celebration on Monday, November 27. In recognition of its 97th Anniversary, Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau had the honor of pulling 117 winners’ names from the entry bin. Anyone 21 years of age or older was eligible to fill out an entry form and to have a chance to win a share of more than $200,000 in furniture prizes, including china cabinets, dining sets, bedroom sets, fireplaces, chests, sofas, loveseats, entertainment sets, and more.

Borkowski says she has been shopping at Darvin, 15400 La Grange Road, Orland Park, IL, for decades, but she never entered into the drawing until this year.“I was so surprised and so happy to win. The chest is absolutely beautiful! This was my first time entering – and I never win anything.”

Monee resident Kristina Bolsoni says her family has been lifelong Darvin customers, but she too had never filled out an entry form – until this year, when she won a $449 Dimplex Wall Mount Fireplace. “My family has been shopping at Darvin as long as I can remember. Every piece of furniture in my parents’ home is from Darvin. My grandparents fill out an entry every year, but this was the first time I entered,” she says. “I love my new fireplace!”

Everyone visiting the Darvin showroom for the drawing was able to pick up a copy of the 97th Anniversary Catalog, which featured thousands of beautiful furniture items, accessories, rugs and mattresses. The fall season has brought a variety of improvements to the Darvin Furniture shopping experience, including the convenience of an all-new e-commerce platform on the Darvin.com website, as well as the heightened anticipation of the 2018 Grand Opening for the newly revamped Darvin facade.
