Darvin® Furniture Providing Customer Support with Critical Needs Call Center

Orland Park, IL, April 9, 2020 – In response to customers’ requests for help over the phone and with online purchases, Darvin Furniture & Mattress, Chicagoland’s largest furniture and mattress store, has created a Critical Needs Call Center. Open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the call center will help customers who may need assistance purchasing critical need items like lift chairs and other furniture or mattress-related items, or who may simply want guidance navigating the online environment at Darvin.com.

According to Darvin Furniture & Mattress President Will Harris, the very first calls came in just hours after the Darvin Furniture & Mattress showroom was forced to close its doors after Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker issued COVID-19 protocols for non-essential businesses.

“We recognize that many of the items we sell are critical need items for members of the community. Mattresses, lift chairs, adjustable beds and more may be critical to an individual’s health and the safe operation of a household,” says Harris. “It’s one thing for a store to say what those critical items are, it’s another when customers themselves define what’s critical for them in order to operate their household. Darvin wants to be available to meet those needs.”

Providing one-on-one assistance with a live person on the phone, the Darvin Critical Need Call Center is easy to use, just call 708-460-4100 and press 9. The Call Center is staffed by experienced Darvin employees who have expertise in helping customers with special requests. "With the shelter-in-place orders in effect, purchasing something at Darvin.com is a convenient and intuitive way to shop," says Harris.

When someone dials the Critical Need Call Center, they are immediately connected to a live person who will stay on the phone with them for as long as it takes to find exactly what they need and to help them check each of the online boxes necessary to finalize a purchase and to schedule delivery or pickup.
