Long before Popup Workshop host Julea Joseph even introduced herself to the crowd, the Outdoor Gallery at Darvin Furniture was brimming with guests, all in anticipation
of hearing the latest trends in outdoor entertaining spaces.
Darvin Furniture hosted their first-ever PopUp Workshop on Tuesday, May 21, as an opportunity for customers to hear from Joseph, a veteran Chicagoland Interior Stylist
and owner of Reinventing Space, and to have the opportunity to get first-hand advice from professional staff designers.

Getting things off to a wonderful start for the more than 50 attendees at the workshop were delicious appetizers and summer cocktails by Premier Catering. Guests seated
themselves among the many outdoor furniture collections in the Darvin showroom gallery and prepared to learn from Joseph about how to set the stage for entertaining and
outdoor living.

The full house listened attentively and interacted with Joseph throughout the presentation, which covered topics such as:
• Expanding outdoor space with furniture & accessories
• Learning to set the stage for outdoor living
• Simplifying techniques for outdoor entertaining
• Creative ways to spruce or update existing or new spaces

On hand to help with attendees’ unique outdoor challenges were Darvin’s team of staff designers Juliana Barr and Soleil Tierney, as well as Darvin’s outdoor
furniture specialist Sharon O’Sullivan.
“No matter how big or small your outdoor space may be,” Joseph told the crowd, “there is always an answer available that can make it a very personal space and a very fun place to entertain.
The answers are all around you tonight.”

Throughout the evening, Joseph announced the names of attendees to receive more than a dozen door prizes that included outdoor rugs, a lighted palm tree, benches,
a gift card and a portable Weber Grill.
Winners were from as close as Homer Glen and Palos Heights and as distant as Manhattan and Merrillville, Indiana.
According to Steve Darvin, Co-Owner Darvin Furniture & Mattress, the PopUp Workshop is an exciting new concept meant to benefit anyone willing to commit an hour of their
time to learn something new.
“I think the workshop is a wonderful way for our talented staff of designers to help customers make the most of the outdoor space they have at home,” says Darvin. “Providing
this level of access to our designers is another way we are making the Darvin experience even better.”
