Customer demand has Darvin seeing Purple

What happens when a product shows up and it doesn't look like anything you have seen before? At Darvin Furniture & Mattress, we've been in business for more than 100 years and we've seen everything – at least that's what we thought.

Just about the time that the Purple mattresses started to arrive at our showroom, we started to get customers coming in and asking for them. That's not how it usually happens, but we figured it was a good problem to have. After all, the Purple mattresses were unique and maybe people were onto something?

"We see a lot of new products come out every year, some are very unique, while others are more traditional. Seeing Purple for the first time made me think the product certainly looked different, but customer response would ultimately determine its success," says Darvin Furniture & Mattress VP Merchandising, Business Development Hanny Diab.

The Grid

• The Purple Mattress is made with the patented 2-inch Purple grid atop dual layer polyurethane foam, which offers more support and comfort than other foam mattresses and airbeds.
• The Purple Hybrid Mattress consists of Purple’s 2-inch Purple Grid over proprietary Responsive Support Coils for spinal alignment and even more responsive support.
• The Purple Hybrid Premier, a luxury mattress, has a 3-inch or 4-inch Purple grid over Responsive Support Coils for premium comfort and support.
